Discover a free online training to help you kickstart your yoga service career.

“Yoga has changed my life,” is a phrase we often hear from individuals we work with. Over the past twelve years, our yoga service programs have helped to transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of people facing mental and physical illness.

But what exactly is yoga service? And how can you get involved?

Explore these questions and more with teachers who have founded programs that bring yoga into prisons, hospitals, treatment centers and more. Then, learn how you can get involved in creating a “ripple effect” of positive change by sharing the transformational tool of yoga in your local community.

Study with Master Teachers

In this Yoga Service 101 training, you will learn how yoga can address some of the most pressing challenges of our time; including incarceration, cancer, eating disorders, and opioid addiction. Featuring master teachers Beryl Bender Birch, Nikki Myers, James Fox, Tari Prinster, Chelsea Roff, and Suzanne Manafort, this course will inspire you to get involved and deepen your yoga service journey.

Discover how you can use your unique skills and life experience to plug into the burgeoning yoga service movement. Whether you are a yoga practitioner, teacher, therapist or studio owner — there is a role to play for everyone.

The course is comprised of three modules:

The Foundation

This module lays the groundwork on the depth and breadth of the yoga service movement. It answers the questions: What is yoga service? How is it currently practiced? What role does yoga play in healthcare?

Going Within

In this module, you will explore the importance of building self-awareness in yoga service work. How might your ego and judgments show up in your work with those you serve? And how does the lens through which you see the world impact how you serve?

Living Your Yoga

The final module in the course will help you take action and get involved in the yoga service movement. Explore your interests and passions and turn your intention into action.
